Story of Gojra and Korian incidentss
Talib Masih who was living in Korian village with his family. He belongs to Christian family and sold the Children things in streets like sweets and ice cream etc. It was his son’s marriage and people were dancing and doing atish bazi at night. After some days on 29th, July, 2009 at 9:00 pm one Muslim priest announced in Mosque that Christian were throwing papers of Holy Quran in Mandi. When Muslim people heard these words they gathered in Mosque and attacked Christian’s Houses and Church in Korian Village. They burned and broke everything even they attacked on the mammals of Christians. When Christian knew they all left from their homes without things and saved their lives but other all things had spoiled and burned by Muslim community even they made fair on dogs that they had Christian’s dogs. Round about 60 Christian Families are staying in this village. 47 houses and One Church has been spoiled and burned by attacked. FIR admitted on 30th July, 2009 against 13 Muslim members and 3 Christian members.
On 1st August, 2009 some Muslim people did same announcement in Gojra and Jung cities and attacked on Christian Colony near Railway station Gojra. They attacked at 9:00 am and started breaking the houses and burning them by chemicals. They spoiled everything and 7 people from one family died. Mr. Hameed Masih, his son Ikhlas, 2 daughters in law, one daughter, a grand son, one grand daughter and the mother of his daughter in law; they all died by this attack. Police did not admit FIR against 20 members Qader Awan, DPO, DCO, others. On August,2,2009 Christian had decided that we would not bury these 7 dead bodies until we had not received the FIR than they took dead bodies on the Railway line and closed all traffic at the end at 10:00 pm police admitted FIR against 20 people on name and 800 unknown people. Than after receiving FIR Christian buried 7 dead bodies at 1:30 am. 19 people have been admitted in hospital one person died on 4th, August, 2009 Mr. Riaz Masih. Round about 435 Christian families are in colony and 250 Families and two Churches have loss everything they even may not have one glass for drinking water.
Statement of Mr. Umardaraz Masih S/o Gulzar and Mr. Iftakher Masih s/o Mushtaq Masih told that Mr. Qader Awan (Nazm Muslim League (Nawaz Group) was involved in this attack because he said that he provided guns and other things to those who attacked Christian families. He had stopped Christian when they were also faired by their guns, he also stopped police and they gave the sign for attack. Than Christians could not do only they tried to left from their houses with their children and young females because they wanted to save them.
