Church burnt in Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh: October 25, 2009, (PCTV Newsdesk)On 22nd October 2009 early morning an India Mission Society Church was set ablaze by unidentified persons at Jakaram village, Mulugu Mandal, Warangal district, Andhra Pradesh.
Pastor P Kumarswamy (45) from Padmasaly community accepted the Lord 9 years ago through Mr. Sadanand a believer who was his neighbour in his home town Regunda Mandal. He started ministering to the surrounding villages from the year 2000. In the year 2005, this Church belonging to India Mission Society was setup in Jakaram village. This has 60 members. The Church is located about 200 feet away from Pastor Kumaraswamy’s house.
On Thursday 22nd October 2009 early morning around 2.00 am, this Church belonging to India Mission Society was set on fire by some unidentified persons. When the neighbours heard some noise came out and saw the Church was in flames. They immediately informed the Pastor and called the Fire Engine. By the time the fire engine arrived about 50 percent of the Church was burnt.
S.I. Karim Mullah Khan of Mulugu Police Station has filed an FIR and assured that further investigation will be done. This incident has already been covered in the local newspaper in Andhra Pradesh.
