Lahore: October 29, 2009, (PCTV Newsdesk)
A prominent passionate American lady “Mrs. Polly Guild” was very sick from last few days. In an email message she was very pessimistic as per of her poor health and was even feeling to die soon. She had been very generous with her charities to the people in need in Pakistan both individually and collectively from the past decades. Her support is always focused on humanitarian grounds. Thus of this approach she is equally regarded in Christians and Muslims in Pakistan .
As per of her message circulated about her red cells disease on 20th October, 2009 Mr. Inderias Dominic Bhatti (A Christian) and Mohammad Ikhlaq (A Muslim) led their communities in prayers, fasting, Whole night prayer vigils (A typical Christian prayer with special intentions from God) and Quran-Khawani (reciting of the Holy Quran with special intentions from Allah).
Besides Christians – Muslims there are many people of different faiths who also prayed, stood in silence and lighted candles for the Good health and long life of Mrs. Guild.
The phone call of her recovery brought a joy and cheer in Pakistan .
It is noteworthy that people in NWFP had dedicated 10 of the peach trees on Mrs. Polly Guild’s name as she supported in the earth quake 2005 to the people in NWFP, Pakistan as well.
