Pak American People's Forum Introduction
USA: November 22, 2009, (PCTV Newsdesk)Pak – American People's Forum is a civil society organization, dedicated to bring together people with roots in Pakistan and United States, to strengthen the foundation for a strong, stable and enduring relationship between both countries and communities. PAPF aspires to work through people to people contacts, dialogue and other non-violent, non-exclusionary means. "Pak – American People`s Forum" also works:
1. To promote tolerance, respect and mutual understanding and inter-faith harmony to strengthen appreciation of the values and norms common to the world's religions and cultures.
2. To achieve a peaceful, prosperous and hate-free society where the rights of all citizens are respected and protected; regardless of religious, ethnic, sexual or other differences.
3. To encourage educational programs and greater interaction and linkages between the research and academic institutions of the two countries by promoting exchange of students and scholars, fellowship programs, and strengthened research collaboration, including through institutional support for higher education and training.
4. To provide a forum for dialogue on key economic, commercial and other relevant issues of interest to American individuals and companies doing or planning to do business in Pakistan as well as to provide a sound platform for smooth business functioning to American Business in Pakistan, by providing knowledge and understanding of core business challenges, to create a safe and secure environment to promote commercial and trade activates between the business communities of the United States and Pakistan.
5. To create and awareness among Pakistani community living in United States about the need of being productive, constructive and a contributing member towards the economic betterment, human-rights values and political solidarity of Pakistan.
6. To conduct social and cultural functions, religious festivals, community gatherings, conferences and mass-media awareness to strengthen Pak-American partnerships and relationships.
