Believer jailed for praying in hospital- Karnataka, India
Karnataka, India: December 17, 2009, (PCTV Newsdesk)Believer Bhaskar (52) visited the government hospital Mandya few days ago to pray for a friend of his, who was seriously ill. Again on 15th December Bhaskar visited his friend at hospital and prayed for him.
Srinivas a Hindu Radical was present at the hospital, caught Bhaskar and beat him up. Srinivas informed RSS leader Ravi and others about Bhaskar and was taken to the Mandya East Police Station by the RSS leaders. RSS leader Ravi filed a false complaint of forced conversion against Bhasker. However after inquiry, he was charged under section IPC 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc.)and is lodged in Mandya Jail. The case no- i204/9.
GCIC was informed and is in the process of seeking bail for believer.
Few years ago, Believer Bhaskar accepted Jesus Christ as his personal saviour. He is a member of the Brethren Assemblies .Bhaskar is married and is blessed with two children
