Police stopped worship in Koppa, Karnataka
Karnataka, India: December 30, 2009, (PCTV Newsdesk)The police team lead by one Veerabadrappa of Koppa police station entered India People Ministry Church on 27th December and forcefully stopped the Sunday worship. The police entered at 11.30 am and instructed pastor D M Kumar (50 years) to immediately stop the worship. They further warned that in case the pastor conducts worship on coming Sunday, they will be arrested. The police accused them of forceful conversion. The police also abused the pastor for praying with out government permission
The house church is situated about 1.5 kilometres from the police station. The property is owned by pastor D M Kumar and has been staying in the house for the past 10 years. The worship in his house was started about 4 rears and has about 40 members.
