Water Missions International Proposes a New Kind of Toast for the New Year with Its 'I Raise My Glass' Campaign
Charleston, SC: December 31, 2009, (PCTV Newsdesk)Water Missions International (WMI) announces "I Raise My Glass," a New Year's campaign that urges people to make a different kind of resolution -- to help provide safe, clean drinking water to those without in 2010. The goal of the campaign is to get 2,000 people to donate $10 and get 10 friends to do the same on New Year's Eve. Each $10 donation will provide a life-time of safe water for one person in need. If the New Year's goal is met, WMI would be able to give sustainable safe water access to seven communities around the world.
Water Missions International asks that people raise their glasses and make a toast on behalf of the nearly one billion people who lack access to safe water. While donations are appreciated on New Year's Eve, the campaign will continue through the end of January.
More information about the campaign, including the online resolution, text-to-give, online giving, viral video and virtual networking tools, is available at www.watermissions.org/i-raise-my-glass or http://iraisemyglass.com.
