Punjab CM orders inquiry into Christian’s death
Lahore: September 17, 2009, (PCTV Newsdesk)Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif ordered a completely impartial inquiry into the death of a Christian youth Robert Fanish Masih in Sialkot Jail. He said an incident of this kind in a district jail, irrespective of its nature, reflected the inefficiency of the jail administration. He directed the Punjab chief secretary to ensure a thorough investigation. The CM said the inquiry into the case had been assigned to a well-reputed judicial officer and the inquiry report in this regard would be fully implemented. staff report.
