Rawalpindi, Pakistan - Rev. Fr. Rufin Anthony Coadjutor Bishop of Islamabad-Rawalpinidi Diocese
Rawalpindi: September 09, 2009, (PCTV Newsdesk)The Holy Father has appointed Rev. Fr. Rufin Anthony presently Vicar General of the Diocese of Faislabad, as Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Islamabad-Rawlpindi. He will take up his duties as Coadjutor Bishop after his Episcopal Ordination.
Rev. Rufin was born on 12 February 1940 in Khushpur, Diocese of Faislabad and completed his early education in his village Khuspur and then entered the "St.Pious X". He received the ordination to the priesthood in Rome in June 1969
He serve the Church on many high positions as professor, spiritual director, professor, and Parish Priest. In 2005 he was appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Faislabad and concurrently Parish Priest of Khuspur until his appointment as Coadjutor Bishop of Islamabad- Rawalpindi Diocese.
Episcopal Ordination of Rev.Rufin Anthony will be on 21st September 2009 at 10 am at St.Joseph Cathedral, Rawalpindi.
