Professor Salamat Akhtar requested to Chief Justice of Pakistan on Shazia case
Rawalpindi, Pakistan: January 31, 2010, (PCTV Newsdesk)An Open Letter to Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Ch. The Chief Justice of Pakistan
Subject: REQUEST FOR A SUO-MOTO NOTICE
I as a President of Pakistan Masihi League, a respresentative organization of the millions poor Christians of Pakisan want to bring to your kind notice the following facts for your sympathetic consideration and favourable action.
According to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif ,the Quaid of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and other polished politicians of Pakistan the murder of SHAZIA a poor Christian girl in Lahore by the family of Muhammad Naeem Ch. Ex President Lahore Bar Association, is a black spot on the fair name of our society.
The height of this tragedy and injustice is this that the Doctors have made mess of the postmortem, the Police Officials of Punjab Police are treating the accused as State Guest and the Lawyers of Lahore, the custodians and guardians of Law, Justice, Constitution and Human Rights are siding with Muhammad Naeem Ch. wholeheartedly instead of Law and Justice. They have also placed a black spot on the fair name of judiciary and earned a bad name.
Sir, it is the Honorable Court to decide whether Muhammad Naeem Ch. Advocate has committed this ignoble act or not.The Lawyers of Lahore have nothing to do with this case. They can defend their friend in the Court but cannot damage or destroy Justice with their illegal, unlawful, unethenic and unwarranted threats to the parents and relatives of SHAZIA,brutlessly murdered in Lahore in board day light with ruthless beating.
We the Christians of Pakistan hail and welcome your recent historic decisions and your SUO-MOTO NOTICES on specific issues. We humbly request your honour to please take a SUO-MOTO NOTICE in this case and direct the Lawyers of Lahore to behave like gentlemen and civilized people of Pakistan.
Yours Faithfully

Professor Salamat Akhtar
