Update on Feb 10 of the court hearing of Shazia Murder Case- CLAAS
Lahore, Pakistan: February 10, 2010, (PCTV Newsdesk)Today, on February 10, 2010 Naeem’s family was appeared in the court of Mr. Shafique-ul-Rehman Additional Sessions Judge Lahore for the confirmation of their bails, meanwhile CLAAS legal team Mr. Tahir Gull Advocate, Mr. Tahir Bashir Advocate, Mr. Nasir Anjum Advocate, Mr. Tanvir Masih Gill Advocate including CLAAS Staff Mr. Asher Sarfraz Administrator CLAAS, Sohail Habel Accountant CLAAS and Katherine Sapna Program Officer CLAAS was also in the court with Shazia’z mother Nasreen Bibi, while there was a crowd of about fifty (50) opponent Lawyers from accused party.
There was very tense situation in the court room, as you know that there is a pressure of Bar, and open threats to lawyers for the severe consequences if any one will appear in the court against Mohammad Naeem Advocate and his family. Opponent Lawyers also tried to pressurize CLAAS lawyers and openly threat them for consequences today out side the court room. Case was called by judge at 9:00 am, CLAAS lawyers submitted the Power of Attorney in the court, Shazia’s mother Nasreen Bibi also appeared before the Judge with CLAAS staff Katherine Sapna, but the case hearing was fixes for the next date on 13th Feb.
