Mother's role in bringing up the kids- Radio weekly program Waqat Ki Awaz (voice of the time) by Columban fathers Lahore

From 2005 The Columban fathers broadcast weekly programme Waqat Ki Awaz (voice of the time) regularly with the purpose of formation and social harmony among the religions in Pakistan on every Friday afternoon from Radio Pakistan Lahore centre at MW 630kw from 03.10-03.40.p.m. and from Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi centre at FM 98. In the recent programme aired on 5th March,2010 the topic was role of mother in the formation of kids.
The Anchor person was Anila Saleem and the participants in the discussion were Sr. Genevieve Ramlal SCJM, Sofia Bedar (Deputy Director Punjab Arts Council).
Sr. Geneieve said that the atmosphere at school is to be monitored by the parents and that will have the effects on the life during the day. She stressed for the mother to find out the friends of her child in the school which the mother is supposed to know. SH has not only to be concerned about the syllabus but his extra curricular activities as well.
Sofia Bedar stressed that the society in which we live the envrionment around is to be considered carefully. The mother is to keep in mind were her child is gone for Madrasa and she needs to know the syllabus of the madras. She expressed her concern how the small kids get affected that they are ready to sacrifice their life. The parents know that the kids are gone for religious education. He has not to leave the general education and get affected by the religious education.IN this the trendy could be the their kids are negatively affected. Both the parents are to ask their kids what was the content of the education they are getting.
With the vast radio broadcast experience Fr. Colm Murphy SSC was the initiator of this radio program and after his return to Ireland in Mary,2009, Fr. Patrick took this responsibility.
