Day of Recollection for the School Kids at Loyala Hall Lahore
Lahore, Pakistan: March 11, 2010, (PCTV Newsdesk)“I was glad to see over 100 children from the basti schools of the Sacred Heart Cathedral parish who were encouraged by the parents to participate in half day recollection”. Fr. Andrew Nisari, the parish priest and the rector of the Cathedral said that he has been telling the parents during Sunday masses to send their children for the forthcoming event which took place on the 7th of March, 2010 aging from 4 to 12 years at Loyala Hall Lahore.
Sr. Natalie of the Sister of Charity of Jean Antide facilitated the recollection along with the junior sisters and novices. While using the power point she showed different pictures of animals, mountains and the prodigal son being embraced and forgiven. She said that the purpose of the Lent recollection was to let the children experience the mercy of God and instill in their life the values of forgiveness and charity.
The school kids were happy and wished to be back soon as they felt at home with power point presentation and learnt the value of sharing at home and the schools. The programme from 03.00.p.m.to 06.00p.m.left its lasting impressions on the kids as they left each other with expression of their togetherness with each other and wished to be together for a longer period.
The main organizer Fr. Andrew Nisari expressed, at the end, that such recollections will give the kids a chance to get basic religious education to become better human beings.
