Young Christian Leaders Network (YCLN) arranged 3 Days residential conference in Jehlum, Pakistan

Young Christian Leaders Network (YCLN) arranged 3 – day residential conference in Jehlum from 25 – 28 February 2010. Forty (40) young leaders from, Jehlum, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Taxila, Gujrat and Sailkot participated in this pilot conference.

The main objective of the conference was to enhance the competency of the young leaders to be guiding lamp and a change agent for better tomorrow. They were given an exposure to different capacity building sessions including resource mobilization, volunteering, project management, life skills, career counseling and self development. In addition to equip them more & cover the Christian aspect, they were also provided sessions like Spiritual leadership, Sharing your Faith, Daniel as Young Leader and Christian Persecution; to develop better understanding and in depth meaning and importance of Christian leadership, and what role do our young people have to play in today’s world.  All these were conducted by well known Christian icons & leaders.

The young participants had opportunity to learn from and interact with senior leaders. The senior leaders like Mr. Mehboob Sada, Mr. Edwin Samson and Prof Dr. Sarah Safdar shared their life-stories with the participants. These stories were exceptionally inspirational and motivated young crowd as they got opportunity to ask questions to senior leaders about their experiences & struggles/obstacles in life’s journey. This segment was much appreciated by seniors as well by youngsters.
