Livelihood Program of Caritas Pakistan Lahore organized seminars on the “Importance of Water in Human Life” with connection to World Water Day at Solomon Convent School, Youngsonabad (Nankana) and Mariam Hall Mariamabad (Sheikhupura) on March 26 & 27, 2010.
Mr. Amir Rafiq (Coordinator Livelihood Program) described the function of water in human body. He also described the Recommended Daily Allowance of Drinking water (3 – 4 Liters per day). He explained the standards of drinking water. He also elaborated the water borne diseases. Finally he explained different methods of water treatment.
Mr. Shorab (Principal Solomon Convent School) and Rev. Fr. Akram Javed (Parish Priest Mariamabad) thanked the Caritas team for the valuable input on the water with students. These programs were facilitated by Anill Gill (Extension Worker), and Mr. Irfan Khokhar (Area Animator, Mariamabad).
