Holy Rosary Church of St. Paul's Parish and the Animation and Development Program of Caritas Pakistan Karachi jointly organized the Easter Food hampers program in Karachi

The Groups of Holy Rosary Church of St. Paul’s Parish and the Animation and Development Program of Caritas Pakistan Karachi jointly organized the Easter Food hampers program, which were distributed among the widows and needy families on Palm Sunday after the Sunday mass at Holy Rosy Church Azam Town.

Rev Fr. Saleh Diego Parish Priest and Chairperson of Caritas Pakistan Karachi was the chief guest and Mr. Mansha Noor Animation coordinator was the special guest of the program. Rev Fr. Saleh Diogo and Mr. Mansha Noor distributed 17 gifts hampers among the widows and the most deserving families of Azam Town.

Rev Fr. Saleh Diogo in his remarks said that Lenten season is a best time to do good works and helps the deserving and needy families. He appreciated the efforts of all the church groups’ members and Caritas Animator shamim Younus who organized the program. He also thanks Caritas Pakistan Karachi his Executive Secretary Mr. Dominic Gill and Animation coordinator Mr. Mansha Noor for their good work in the parish to cerate awareness among the community members to organize themselves to solve their common problems.

Early the Area animator Ms. Shamim Younus and all the Groups of Holy Rosy Church organized the seminar at parish level on 23rd of March 2010.
The aim of the seminar was to raise the funds for the distribution of food hampers among widows and needy families.  The topic of the seminar was (Lenten season and our good works). More then 100 parishioners from different areas of St. Paul’s parish were participated in the seminar. 

Mr. Mathew Paul Director Family Life commission of Archdiocese of Karachi was the main speaker of the seminar. In his speech he said that our lent is in completed if we do not show charity and give alms during our lent season.  He said that Lent is an ideal opportunity to renew our lives, by taking following the food steps of   Jesus Christ.

Mr. Mansha Noor in his remarks said that lent is the right time to repent our lives towards the journey of Easter.  We have to change our attitudes towards God, our neighbors and nature around us.  This lent season provides us an opportunity to helps the poor and needy families of our parish area.

During the program Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Saleh Diego distributed the Appreciation Certificate from Caritas Pakistan Karachi  among the all the group members for their dedicated voluntarily services for the program.
