Recollection for Christian teachers in preparation of the Holy Week

Two catholic schools of Gulberg, Lahore, viz; St. Mary’s English High School and St. Lawrence’s Urdu High School’s teachers participated in the Lenten recollection with the theme of Eucharist.
Fr. Inayat Bernard told the teachers that the Eucharist is the sign of unity, thanksgiving, expression of love of God and the act of sacrifice for whole humanity.
Talking about the holy week ex explained the masses of the holy week, i.e. Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday. He stressed the point that Jesus had commanded his disciples to do it his memory and till date the universal church continues the celebration of the Eucharist.
The principal of St. Mary’s English High School, Sr. Samina Joseph FCJ said that it is regular feature to organize Advent and Lent recollection for the teachers. The purpose of the recollection was to help the teachers prepare themselves spiritually to participate in the Holy Week services in a befitting manner.
The half day recollection ended with the mass in St. Mary’s Church. The 40 males and female teachers took an active part in the whole program.
