Mission trips scheduled to reach out across four continents
International: April 28, 2010, (PCTV Newsdesk)Are you interested in short-term missions sometime this summer or later this year? Join Global Action on one of nearly 20 trips to four different continents through their Touch the World 2010 Teams.
Of the lineup of trips, four are planned to Global Action's Hope Center in Ukraine to minister at summer camps for orphaned and behaviorally-challenged children. Or you can travel to India on one of seven trips helping at their children's camp, participating in leadership training or distributing blankets to the street projects of Delhi.
Halfway across the globe, Global Action will also travel to Haiti from the end of June to the beginning of July, holding a children's camp to administer hope to this ravaged country. Two trips are also planned for El Salvador, visiting a Christian school and serving impoverished communities through construction and repairs. The rest of the trips' locations include Moldova, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Nepal.
Though the work being performed on each trip will vary, each team's main focus will be to share Christ's love in a tangible way with many people who would otherwise never hear this message.
If you are interested in one of these trips, "More than anything, you need to have a desire to serve the local church. You also need to be teachable -- ready to learn from your team members and hosts about what God is doing in their lives and ministries."
Trips begin in June and range in cost from about $1600 to $4000, which includes round-trip airfare, lodging, meals, local transportation, interpreters and incidental land costs. The minimum age to participate in these trips is 16.
