Global Impact Supports Kahlil Gibran Spirit of Humanity Awards
Alexandria, VA: May 04, 2010, (PCTV Newsdesk)Global Impact leaders will be in attendance to support the 2010 Kahlil Gibran Spirit of Humanity Awards on April 21, 2010 in Washington, DC. Hosted by the Arab American Institute Foundation since 1999, the event recognizes individuals, corporations, organizations and communities for their acts of leadership and dedication that promote the common good.
The award, named for the author of The Prophet, symbolizes Gibran's pride in his Arab heritage, respect for the freedom he found in the United States and his universal love of humanity.
This year a number of awardees will be recognized such as the Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago, Mr. Juma Al Majid, a respected businessman and philanthropist, and the Corporation for National & Community Service, among others.
Global Impact was honored with the Kahlil Gibran Spirit of Humanity Award for International Commitment in 2007.
