Bishop Andrew Francsiof Multan and Chairman of the National Commission for Inter religious Dialogue and Ecumenism talked on victims at Data Darbar, Lahore

Multan July 6, 2010: “This particular memorial service is a sign of solidarity with all the Muslims and people of good will”. Bishop Andrew Francsiof Multan and the chairman of the National Commission for Inter religious Dialogue and Ecumenism (NCIDE) was talking to the hundreds of Christian and Muslim worshippers at the Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Multan. The NCIDE organized a memorial service in honor of the victims at Data Darbar, Lahore, who were brutally attacked by terrorists on July 01, 2010. A large number of Christians and Muslims including Ulemas and Mullas joined this memorial service.
During his homily, His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Andrew Francis, Bishop of Multan and Chairman, NCIDE thanked everyone who had come to join this very important memorial service. He said, We are grateful to the media who have come here for lie coverage of this event of our solidarity to the victims and assure our sincere prayers for the rest for their souls and the peace for the relatives and friends”. Prayers were offered for peace, tolerance and understanding in Pakistan.
The leaders of the Muslim community deeply appreciated this gesture of the NCIDE and assured the Chairman NCIDE, His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Andrew Francis their whole hearted cooperation in building peace and social harmony.
