The delegation of the Olympic team will leave today, Friday, for the city of Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the second West Asian Championship for the U-23 teams, from 4 to 12 October, with the participation of 11 teams.
The team’s delegation includes 23 players, they are: Khalfan Al-Nubi (Al-Uruba) Ahmed Mahmoud (UAE) Abdullah Sultan (Bani Yas) Ahmed Fawzi, Abdullah Idris, Salem Khairy, Rakan Walid (Al-Jazeera) Rashid Salem (Hatta) Marwan Fahd, Abdullah Al-Naqbi (Khorfakkan) ) Saeed Obaid (Sharjah), Eid Khamis, Ahmed Jamil, Raed Reda (Al Ahly youth), Saeed Suleiman (Ajman), Khaled Muhammad, Nasser Al Shukaili (Al Ain) Abdullah Anwar, Hussein Mahdi (Victory), Mansour Al Harbi (Unity), Yousef Al Muhairi, Faris Khalil, Ali Saleh (Al Wasl).
The team prepared to participate in the tournament in an indoor camp in Fujairah, during which it performed a set of technical and physical training under the leadership of the Spaniard Denis Silva and his assistant staff.
The national team will start its journey in the tournament against Lebanon on 4 October at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam. The match will be played at 7:30 UAE time, and it will meet with Iraq on the 6th at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in the city of Al-Khobar at 10: 30 pm, and it will play against the Palestine national team at the end of the group stage scheduled for October 8 at Prince Fahd bin Muhammad Stadium in Dammam at 4:30 pm.
