Brazilian singer Anita has blocked President Jair Bolsonaro from her Twitter account after he made sarcastic comments about her national flag clothes during a performance at the Coachella Festival in California.
In response to a tweet from the president, the artist wrote, “Go, dude, and find something else to have fun with,” before blocking his account and thus preventing him from responding to her again.
“I blocked him immediately so that the custodians of his account would not be able to access my accounts to create an uproar on the Internet,” said Anita, who does not hesitate to criticize President Bolsonaro.
The singer had written on Twitter after a performance in which she wore the colors of her country’s flag green, yellow and blue, “The flag of Brazil with its colors is for all Brazilians. It represents the whole of Brazil. No one can be alone in explaining the colors of our country’s flag.”
And soon, Bolsonaro, who is running for a second presidential term, replied, “I agree with Anita”, with several emojis and the flag of Brazil attached to his tweet, which angered the artist.
