An official source in the International Football Association (FIFA) revealed that the file of 4 matches in the play-off stage of the African qualifiers for the World Cup Qatar 2022 has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee headed by Colombian George Palacio.
The source said, in exclusive statements to Laila Koura, that the matches that witnessed riots, according to the report of match observers and security coordinators, are as follows: The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Morocco match in Kinshasa in the framework of the first leg matches, and 3 matches in the return matches are the matches of Senegal and Egypt in Dakar and the match between Algeria and Cameroon in Blida and Nigeria and Ghana meet in Abuja
The same source indicated that, after reviewing the reports of the match observers and the security coordinator, the files of these matches were referred to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee. To discuss the imposition of disciplinary penalties on some national federations, whose stadiums witnessed the inability of security to control the riots and their violation of the security and safety rules specified by FIFA in the regulations.
