Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Abu Dhabi Media Company and STARZPLAY, a video-on-demand service company, obtained the exclusive rights to broadcast the Italian League “Serie A” and the Italian Cup, in addition to the Italian Super Cup, for a period of 3 seasons, starting from the upcoming season. According to a statement published by the Abu Dhabi Media Office.
The statement stated that “this joint deal is evidence of the fruitful partnership between Abu Dhabi Media and STARZPLAY, as the two sides were keen to enhance their cooperation to enrich their sports portfolio for the region’s fans, which includes the Asian Football Confederation Championships, the Mixed Fighting Championship, and the Club World Cup.”
Haitham Al Kathiri, Acting Executive Director of Abu Dhabi TV Channels Network, said that the success of “Abu Dhabi Sports Channels in obtaining exclusive broadcasting rights for the Italian League, Cup and Italian Super Championships confirms the leading position the channel has reached, and its technical, technical and media capabilities.”
He added: “Through our partnership with STARZPLAY, which comes as part of the continuous digital transformation project adopted by Abu Dhabi Sports Channels, we will work to cover the activities of this international European championship that millions of football fans are looking forward to.
