British Home Secretary Suella Braverman has been accused of using inflammatory language against immigrants, after she told MPs she wanted to stop the “invasion”.

In a heated House of Commons debate, Riverman vowed to reform the “hopelessly permissive” asylum system and denied banning hotels to ease the acute pressure on the immigration processing center in Kent’s Manston area.

Yvette Cooper of the opposition Labor Party condemned Braverman’s comments and questioned her position.

A report from a visit in July found that the situation at the center had improved significantly.
