After the withdrawal of the Kinder Egg in the UK, the company clarifies

Ferro confirmed in a statement that its products in the Gulf countries are free from it after Kinder Surprise withdrew the quantity of chocolate eggs in the UK due to its association with Salmonella.

Precautionary process

As a precaution, Ferrero Gulf has voluntarily decided to recall parts of the Belgian-made Kinder Surprise Maxi 100 GR from Qatar and the United Arab Emirates with an expiration date of October 1, 2022.

Investigations by health care agencies in the UK, public health in Scotland, public health in Wales and public health in Northern Ireland have found a link between salmonella poisoning and “kinder eggs” across the country.

Symptoms of Salmonella include diarrhea, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and fever. Although most cases are treated within a few days, the symptoms can be severe and lead to hospitalization, especially in young people and those with weakened immune systems.
