Ajman achieved its most expensive victory this season, at the expense of Ittihad Kalba, yesterday, at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium, in the tenth round of the ADNOC Professional League.
Tunisian Firas Belarabi scored the game’s only goal in the 90 + 4 minute, to raise his team’s balance to 17 points, surpassing the “Tigers”, who kept the same balance he entered before the match with 17 points, and fell to seventh place, while “Orange” rose to sixth place.
The two teams showed respect for each other at the beginning, which made the play confined to the middle of the field during the first 15 minutes, with some preference for “orange” in terms of possession.
The danger of Ajman began to appear gradually, specifically with the 20th minute, when Walid Azzaro threatened goalkeeper Issa Ahmed with a header that was removed by midfielder Philip Kiss before the ball crossed the goal line.
The most prominent opportunity in the first half was in the interest of Ajman, from an explicit individual by his player Firas Al Arabi, but the goalkeeper excelled in removing the ball twice.
The beginning of the second session was similar to what it was in the previous one, with a relative improvement for the tigers, but their presence in front of the Ajman goal, was not in an effective way that threatened Ali Al Hosani’s goal.
Ali Mudon wasted an openly private Kalba goal to extend the ball to him amid the demand for a penalty kick, but the video technology confirmed that the Bahraini player was not obstructed, and while the match was heading for a tie, Firas Al Arabi managed to snatch the winning goal from a follow-up to Walid Azzaro’s header (90 + 4).
