Al-Ahly – CAF Champions League Final

Tariq Qandil, a member of the Al-Ahly club’s board of directors, blew a heavy-caliber surprise regarding the Al-Ahmar club’s suffering from a major financial crisis, despite the great financial support for Al-Ahmar.

Qandil said, during an intervention on the Hazrat Al-Muwaten program broadcast on Al-Hadath Al-Youm satellite channel, that Al-Ahly is already suffering from a financial crisis.

He explained that Al-Ahly is suffering from a financial crisis, which is something the whole world is experiencing at the present time, and despite that, the Al-Ahly club’s board of directors does not talk about the matter.

He stated that the statements of Khaled Murtaji, a member of the Al-Ahly Council yesterday, about the crisis are true, and indeed there is a crisis, and yet the board of directors headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib works in silence.

And Khaled Murtaji, treasurer of Al-Ahly club, confirmed in televised statements yesterday, Friday, that the management of the Red Club needs a different view from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi because of the crisis that the Red Club is going through recently.

Murtaji said: “I need the Ministry of Sports to look at Al-Ahly for a little bit, instead of looking at the second clubs only. Al-Ahly opens the fourth branch and we need support. The Minister of Sports, instead of looking at another club, looks at Al-Ahly.”

And he continued: “We want to create other facilities, and we have a financial crisis like the rest of the clubs, and we need the Minister of Sports to look at us.”

And he added, “Al-Ahly Club does not take a need from the state. We want the state to look at us, because we are the state’s hatchery, and players come out to the national teams.”

And he continued: “We have twenty games in the club, not one game, and I say congratulations to Zamalek for winning yesterday the African Cup Winners’ Cup. We have a handball team that entered 4 tournaments and won 3.”
