The director of the works of the Egyptian artist, Samir Sabry, revealed the developments in his health condition after the decision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to ensure his treatment at the expense of the state, after he was exposed to a health problem during the recent period.
The artist’s business manager explained in an exclusive statement to “Cairo 24” that Samir Sabry received a phone call this morning from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, noting that “this helped to improve his psychological condition significantly,” asking the public to pray for him for a speedy recovery.
In a related context, the Representative Professions Syndicate issued a statement today, Saturday, in which it thanked Sisi after sponsoring Sabri’s treatment at the state’s expense, as he is currently in a major hospital receiving treatment.
And the statement stated: “On behalf of the artists of Egypt to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and on behalf of all Egyptian artists, I extend my deepest thanks and gratitude to the President of the Republic, who ordered his supreme patronage of the great artist Samir Sabry.”
And the statement continued: “We affirm his supportive stance for Egyptian art and artists, whose inclusion, His Excellency announced, by sponsoring him to reflect his enlightened vision, for the role of arts in advancing the culture of peoples and building people.
Sabry had asked the audience to pray for him during a telephone interview with him, on a television program, where he said: “My grocery is a year and a half and is being treated for the needs of chemotherapy, and the issue is tired, and I hope that you will stand by me in my crisis and help me with two treatments. Pray for me in the dawn prayer.”
It should be noted that the artist is currently suffering from a heart attack, as a result of which he is scheduled to undergo surgery.
