Algerian striker Bounedjah raises controversy in Qatar (video)

Algerian international striker, Baghdad Bounedjah, sparked widespread controversy during the match between his team Al Sadd and Qatar Club for the 18th week of the Qatari Football League.

Bounedjah appeared in a state of anger the moment he was substituted in the 70th minute by his Spanish coach, Javi Garcia, during his team’s victory over Qatar 1-0.

The Algerian striker did not accept his change and uttered a sharp tone of some words during his exit from the stadium, before ignoring his coach and heading directly to the changing rooms, and refusing to sit on the bench.

What is interesting is that Bounedjah tried to contain the situation quickly after the end of the match, as he went to his coach Garcia, shook hands with him, and spoke to him, as if he was apologizing for what he had done in the match.

Bounedjah is going through a difficult period in his career, as he no longer scores the goals he used to in previous seasons, whether with his team Al Sadd or his country, Algeria.

It is expected that Bounedjah will be in the Algeria squad that will face Cameroon back and forth at the end of next month, in the deciding phase of the African qualifiers for the World Cup “Qatar 2022”.
