Singing star Amr Diab recalled a bouquet of his most famous songs in his 40-year artistic history, at a party he held yesterday (Saturday) at the Jubilee Theater at Expo 2020 Dubai, in the presence of a large audience.
Amr Diab’s concert, which was sponsored by PepsiCo, coincided with the celebrations of the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the concert received a great interaction from the audience, who was on a date with the most beautiful songs of “The Plateau” Amr Diab, which lit the theater with joy, and presented a bouquet of songs from his new album. “Aishni”, a collection of his old songs that have long been ingrained in the memory of his fans.
The star Amr Diab’s ascension to the jubilee platform was preceded by the presentation of a group of traditional entertainment on the occasion of the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which included a show performed by the National Folklore Band for two full hours, interspersed with dances, music, and songs that reflect the spirit of Egyptian life.
The National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt began with a flag-raising ceremony in Al Wasl Square, which was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Prime Minister, who was received and welcomed by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai.
National Days and Honorary Days at Expo 2020 Dubai are important times to celebrate the 200-plus international participants, highlighting their cultures and achievements, while showcasing their pavilions and programmes. The activities of these national and honorary days include a flag-raising ceremony on the platform of nations in Al Wasl Square, which will be followed by speeches and cultural and artistic performances.
During its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, Egypt will host more than 90 seminars and workshops, shedding light on the Egyptian government’s strategies and major projects for the next decade, as well as organizing three business forums on the Suez Canal, the new administrative capital, as well as investment in Egypt.
Monthly events will be held at the State Pavilion, ranging from modern and contemporary Egyptian art to cultural music and dance, including a performance by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra on November 21 and 22. The Dubai Exhibition Center at Expo 2020 Dubai will host various exhibitions, including Our Heritage, which showcases the beauty of handicrafts from all over Egypt.
Expo 2020 Dubai will run until March 31, 2022, inviting visitors from all over the world to create a new world together, in a six-month celebration of human creativity, innovation, progress and culture.
