The US tourist site “Scope Empire” sheds light on the Egyptian Space City project, which is currently being launched and is due to be completed in 2030, describing the project as wonderful and includes a public space museum, the first of its kind in Egypt and the Arab world.

The site pointed out that the Egyptian Space City project has been in operation since 2017, when the Egyptian parliament approved a bill to establish the first Egyptian space agency to launch the first satellite dedicated to scientific research, and a year later the government announced a huge project that includes the establishment of the Egyptian Space City.

He pointed out that recently, in 2022, the launch of the second phase of the Space City was announced, adding that Egypt is heading towards entering the world of space and following in the footsteps of major countries in this regard.

He continued, “The Egyptian Space City is very impressive, as it was built on an area of ​​123 acres and contains 23 buildings for different sectors of space-related works, and four buildings have been built and five others are still under construction, and the buildings include a hotel for guests, a modern and fully equipped library.” For space research, a conference hall, and a space museum for the public, which is indeed the first of its kind for Egypt and the Arab world.”

He noted that in 2018, two satellites were launched into space, one through cooperation with the Japanese Space Agency, and the other through NASA, and then in 2022 it was planned to launch two other satellites, one in May bearing the name “EgSAcube-3”. Which was designed entirely by the Egyptian Space Agency, and another satellite called “EgSAcube-4” was created in cooperation with Benha University.

He pointed out that the Egyptian Space Agency aims to master the craft of building satellites, with plans to become the first specialized center in this field in the entire Middle East and North Africa region, explaining that the Egyptian Space City was scheduled to be launched to become fully available to the public in 2026 while The city is scheduled to operate at full capacity in 2030.
