The following inventory has been announced for the PS5 in-store. More specifically, GameStop revealed that it’s following in Best Buy’s footsteps with its first in-store console inventory. However, GameStop Store stock will be more limited than Best Buy’s. While not every Best Buy store was in stock, they did a lot across the country. GameStop Store inventory will not be nationwide. Instead, it will be limited to stores in these three areas: New York, Dallas, and Atlanta. At the moment, it’s not clear how big the offer will be, if it will be tried in other regions, or if the all-digital version at $400 per console is included. All we know is that it will drop in these three regions on September 30th and will be limited to bundles, which means that it will not be possible to purchase only the console.
At the moment, there’s no word on an innovation similar to the Xbox Series X, which is just as hard to order as the PS5. It’s not clear why the promotion is limited to PS5. It’s also unclear if this is a one-time process or if GameStop will continue to do it later. Finally, there’s no word on whether the case will include the all-digital PS5, which costs $400, which is $100 cheaper than the standard $500 version that comes with a disc drive.
