The Apple AirPods Pro charging case may soon become more user-friendly.
Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst at TF International Securities Group Ltd. The Wuhan-based company tweeted on Friday in response to a developer who detected a reference to the new AirPods model in Apple’s iOS 16.4 software.
“I think it’s likely a USB-C version of the AirPods Pro 2, with mass shipments expected in 2Q23-3Q23. However, it appears that Apple has no plans for USB-C versions of AirPods 2 and 3. said Ko, Quote-tweet user @aaronp613.
Existing AirPods Pro cases require a Lightning Cable to charge the headphones wirelessly.

Apple did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The AirPods have been updated several times since the tech giant launched them in 2016.
AirPods Pro were first released in 2019, and a second-generation version was released last year.

It’s not clear if Apple plans to add more features – including hardware changes.
MacRumors noted on Friday that after the launch of the original AirPods Pro, Apple began selling the headphones with a MagSafe-compatible charging case.

The site said that four iPhone 15 models released later this year are expected to be equipped with a USB-C port.
Also, in 2022, Apple will make the Siri Remote for Apple TV compatible with Lightning to USB-C.
