Apple releases iOS 15.2 beta update.. All you need to know

Apple has started rolling out the upcoming iOS 15.2 beta update to public testers, and the update comes two weeks after the company released the beta version of iOS 15.2 3, the latest update available to all developers and public testers via the over-the-air update in the iPhone Settings app.

If you are enrolled in the beta program, you can check if you have received the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update. The iOS 15.2 beta 4 version number is 19C5050b. If you have received the update, you can install it in your phone from the same page.

Unveiled at WWDC in June, iOS 15 brings notable features to iPhones but a few features were missing when the company released the update for eligible iPhone models two months ago.

Few of these missing features like communication security, hide my email, old contacts, apps privacy report etc have been added with iOS 15.2 beta but users are yet to receive all the promised features.

The beta version of iOS 15.2 also includes Apple’s promised camera feature for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max – toggling the macro mode. The feature in the latest iPhone Pro versions allows users to take super close shots of smaller objects using the smartphone’s ultra-wide lens.

Previously, the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max used to automatically switch to macro mode when brought within 10 cm of any object, and with iOS 15.2, smartphones get a dedicated macro mode toggle inside the camera settings and users can head into the settings – > Camera -> Auto Macro Mode Enable or disable auto switching of macro mode while shooting.
