Since Koeman took charge of the team in August 2020, Barca has scored 94 points out of a possible 144 in the league (65.3%), which made the team finish the 2020-2021 season in third place and rank ninth in the current season after ten rounds.
Looking at the beginning of the two seasons, Barcelona scored 15 points out of a possible 30 this season, or 50%, compared to 14 points (46.7%) in the same period last season.
A large part of the poor results are due to those achieved by the team away from home, where Barcelona was unable to win any of the five matches he played as a visitor.
Before yesterday’s defeat at the hands of Rayo Vallecano at home, Barcelona lost 0-2 at Atletico Madrid and Benfica in the Champions League 3-0.
He also tied in La Liga as a visitor against Athletic Bilbao 1-1 and Kadesh was 0.
In addition, Barcelona has conceded in the 13 matches it played this season between the “La Liga” and the Champions League, more goals than it scored by 17 against 16 for him.
During the one-year period and two months during which Koeman coached Barcelona, he managed to achieve one victory over the top clubs he faced, whether in the “La Liga” or in Europe, by defeating Juventus 0-2 on October 28, 2020 in the group stage of the Champions League.
Under Koeman’s leadership, Barcelona lost their three matches against Real Madrid (1-3 and 1-2 at Camp Nou and 2-1 at Alfredo Di Stefano).
He lost twice against Atlético Madrid and drew once (1-0 and 2-0 at Wanda Metropolitano and 0-0 at home), and also lost to Paris Saint-Germain at Camp Nou (1-4) and tied at the Princes Park 1-1. He fell in his stronghold against Juventus 0-3 and Bayern Munich with the same score.
