The British government has announced that Prime Minister Boris Johnson will address the Ukrainian parliament on Tuesday.
“The prime minister will deliver a video conference with Vergovna Rada on Tuesday, the first world leader to do so since the conflict began,” the government said in a statement.
It said it was announcing a new 300 300 million military aid package to Ukraine and sending civilian security vehicles.
“I spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky and assured him that the UK would continue to provide military and humanitarian assistance to provide Ukrainians with the equipment they need to defend themselves,” Johnson wrote on Twitter.
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Gelensky discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron the course of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and thanked France for providing humanitarian assistance to his country.
“Following the conversation with Emmanuel Macron, we discussed security cooperation and liaison on the path to Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
