Even the third game in the series between Boston and Washington did not recognize the winner after sixty minutes. The Bruins tied twice during the match, but broke the match in overtime. Less than a minute later, Taylor Hall responded to Alexander Ovechkin’s opening goal and Brad Marchand scored overtime shortly after midway through the third half.

The Finnish midfielder sent Karolina to the top spot in the ninth minute and scored the empty Predator goal 53 seconds before the end of normal playing time. Warren Voyage finished the score with half a minute before the last siren.
