Britain is providing 55 55 million to Pakistan to tackle climate change

The United Kingdom has announced more than 55 million in support for Pakistan in tackling climate change as part of the 26th session of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland.
This is an important time for Pakistan as world leaders come together on COP26. According to the official website of the COOP26 conference, it is the eighth most vulnerable country to climate change, and by 2100, rising temperatures will mean that 36% of the Hindu Kush and Himalayan glaciers will be gone.
New funding for climate change in Pakistan is divided into three parts, the first of which is a five-year climate change plan – worth 38 million – that will help Pakistan’s poorest communities protect themselves from climate change.
The second part is a 5-year water governance plan – worth £ 15 million – that will make water use in Pakistan more sustainable and water access more equitable.
The third tranche is worth an additional 2.5 2.5 million to support new ways of attracting much-needed climate investment in Pakistan.
Prior to COP26, the UK had been working closely with Pakistan on climate change and would provide இந்த 7m this year to achieve Pakistan’s climate change goals.

On the other hand, Therese Coffee, the British Minister for Labor and Pensions, urged world leaders to follow in the footsteps of the UK in pioneering climate change. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) is currently being held in Glasgow, Scotland.

Cowie explained how the UK is leading the world in raising billions of pounds of climate fund, especially through pension funds, to help push the UK towards net zero emissions.
