On Thursday, the British Defense Minister announced in Estonia that the United Kingdom would send an additional 600 Brimstone missiles to Ukraine to fight Russia.
Ben Wallace confirmed this after a meeting of donors with several European counterparts at the Estonian military base in Tapa.
“Today, I can say that we will send an additional 600 Brimstone missiles into the theater of operations, which will help Ukraine control the battlefield,” said Ben Wallace.
The first country to meet this requirement
London announced on Saturday that it would send battle tanks to Ukraine, the first country to meet Kiev’s request in this regard.
Wallace and his Estonian counterpart, Hannu Befkur, took the initiative to call a meeting of donors.
Talks on military support for Ukraine continue on Friday during a meeting of fifty nations convened by the United States at the Ramstein military base in Germany.
We will continue to support Ukraine.
Wallace added Thursday, “We’re here today, we’ll be in Ramstein tomorrow (…) to make (…) very clear to (Russian) President Vladimir Putin that we will support Ukraine.”
“Because if President Putin bets that we’ll be tired this year, he’s wrong. This year, next year and the year after (…) we’re here for the long haul.”
Also, Wallace called for Russia to withdraw from Ukraine.
“In 2023, it’s time for the Ukrainians to reverse the momentum they’ve achieved by pushing Russia back, and for Russia to realize that the goal is to drive it out of Ukraine and restore Ukraine’s sovereignty,” he said.
