Britney Spears’ ex-husband has been charged with stalking after making an unannounced appearance at her Los Angeles home and attempting to spoil her wedding to Sam Asgari.
Jason Alexander, 40, pleaded not guilty to the charge and four misdemeanours at a Ventura County court hearing on Monday, BA Media reported.
He faced two counts of battery, one count of vandalism, and one count of trespassing on the property of others in the wake of the incident.
Alexander was arrested by officers from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and taken to a local jail.
A judge set his bail at $100,000 and issued a restraining order requiring him to stay at least 100 yards from the pop star for three years.
Alexander attended the hearing virtually via video link.
The wedding took place between the 40-year-old singer and her partner, fitness trainer Asgari, 28, last Thursday.
