News Portal – A 1987 Buick Grand National appeared at the SEMA exhibition in black, dubbed the “Dark knight”, completely restored. This car belongs to the American artist Kevin Hart, who is famous for owning many modified classic cars.

The Buick Grand National is distinguished by its unique modifications from the “Salvaggio” team, who began the task of rebuilding the car to obtain a unique version of it in the original condition, with a V6 engine instead of the LS V8 engines, like the restored cars, to preserve the original spirit of the car.

Buick Grand National got a LF4 V6 engine with a capacity of 3.6 twin-turbo from Cadillac. The engine in the standard version provides 464 horsepower with 603 Newton meters of torque, but the engine got some modifications from the “Gearhead” team, starting with cleaning the engine compartment from all wires for a coordinated look.

One of the turbines of the engine was also removed and it was equipped with one advanced turbocharger, so that the car generated 650 horsepower on the dyno using 103 octane fuel, so the modifications were limited to this point, as the engine got high-performance camshafts.

After adding new sports camshafts, the car’s power can reach 700 horsepower when using racing fuel, and the engine is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission from Cadillac that transfers power to the rear-wheel drive system.

To enhance the movement system, the car got a sports braking system from Brembo, with a sports suspension system that increases the stability of the car, and an iron protection cage that connects with the bodywork to maintain the strength of the structure and not be affected by the horsepower of the engine.

The exterior body has been completely renovated with all original parts and high-quality replacement parts, with the car obtaining a black color, to become the car according to its basic vision, which is to appear with a dark and strong character, to obtain the title of the “Dark knight”.

The car comes with 19-inch sports wheels, with many exterior and interior parts made of carbon fiber, such as the hood, rear air diffuser, side mirrors, and many pieces inside the cockpit, which appear in a very consistent design with elegant sports seats to maintain comfort while driving.
