Liverpool sweeps Porto
Salah led his team, Liverpool, to victory over Porto, 5-1, in the match that was held at the “Dragao” stadium, after scoring two goals.
Liverpool took the lead through Salah in the 18th minute, before Senegalese Sadio Mane added the second goal for the Reds in the 44th minute.
In the second half, Mohamed Salah scored the third goal for Liverpool against Porto in the 60th minute, becoming the second most African player to score in Champions League (excluding the preliminary rounds) with 31 goals, surpassing Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o (30 goals), and Ivorian Didier Drogba (44 goals).
In the 75th minute, Porto reduced the score, scoring the first goal through Mehdi Tarmi with a header from inside the Liverpool penalty area.
Two minutes later, Brazilian Roberto Firmino scored the fourth goal for Liverpool in the 77th minute, before adding the fifth goal for the Reds in the 82nd minute.
Dramatic win for Atletico Madrid over AC Milan
In the same group, Atlético Madrid snatched a fatal victory at the expense of Milan with two goals against a goal, in the match that was held at the “San Siro” stadium.
Milan advanced through its player, Rafael Liao, with a powerful shot that hit Atletico Madrid in the 20th minute of the first half.
Milan completed the match with 10 players after Ivorian Frank Kessie was sent off in the 29th minute of the match after receiving two yellow cards.
In the second half, Antoine Griezmann equalized for Atletico Madrid in the 84th minute.
In the 93rd minute, Atletico Madrid got a penalty kick, so Luis Suarez scored the winning goal for Rojo Blancos.
With these results, Liverpool is at the top of the group standings with 6 points, followed by Atletico Madrid in second place with 4 points, while Porto came in third place with a single point, while Milan ranked fourth without points.
