Download 10,000 movies in one second.. Japan sets a record for the fastest internet
Lovers of watching videos, playing games and browsing websites, are looking for a high speed internet, to spend an enjoyable time, which may make some think about moving to Japan because of the speed of the internet there.
According to the “timesnownews” website, a new technology developed by Japanese engineers has set a new world record for the fastest internet speed ever recorded.
Research conducted by the Japan National Institute of Information and Communication Technology experts, who have worked to push the limits of information transmission over the Internet, showed a new internet speed of 319 terabits per second, and data is transmitted over a fiber-optic cable of more than 3,000 km in length.
The researchers achieved unprecedented speeds using advanced optical fiber technology with a quad-core optical fiber with a standard outer diameter of 0.123 mm for the test, enough to transmit 10,000 HD films of about 4 gigabytes each in just one second.
According to reports, this new test breaks the previous record for data transfer speed of 178 terabytes per second, which was previously achieved by the research team at the Japanese National Institute of Information and Communications Technology and Britain during the year 2020.
The speed of the new data transfer, the speed is about 7 million times faster than the average internet speed in the United States, and is also considered to be 24 million times faster than the average speed in the country of India.
