Money loves silence – there is one saying. But then there are entrepreneurs who directly love advertising and use it in their businesses. Everyone knows Elon Musk for sure, but Russian billionaire Oleg Tinkov is behaving similarly. Although he does not fly into space, he travels the oceans on his icebreaker yacht, flies around the world on a private Dassault Falcon 7X plane, or tries to win the Tour de France with his bike stable.
But the past year faced two major challenges. The US Treasury issued an arrest warrant for failing to pay taxes and concealing property in 2013. Tikoff, who lives in London, is now fighting in court there against extradition to the United States.
Even worse, in the fall of 2019, doctors found him with an aggressive form of leukemia, and last year he underwent a bone marrow transplant, rated his chances of recovery from 50 to 50, bold visions and insults to competition.
