Baghdad/NinaMinister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, visited the University of Oxford and was briefed on its academic environment, halls and library, and met with several university representatives, including the President of Wolfson College, Sir Tim Hitchens.
The ministry said in a statement, “The minister held a meeting at Oxford University with Iraqi scientific elites and talents working in the United Kingdom, in the presence of Haider Abdul Dad, Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Baghdad University, Munir al-Saadi, President of Anbar University, Mushtaq Talib al-Nada and in Iraq Chairman of the Board of Deans of Medical Faculties, Anis Khalil Nile and Cultural Adviser, Muhammad Hamza Abdul-Sada Al-Hashimi.
The Minister of Education announced the establishment of the Iraqi Skills Council, comprising academic, professional and medical elites working in Britain with the aim of creating an environment for collaboration and partnership in the fields of scientific research. Education and its work respond to the goals of social and sustainable development.
Al-Aboudi listened to the interventions and opinions presented by the participants and the participants regarding the activities of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to open up to international institutions and to crystallize cooperation projects in line with the changes in the educational system of Iraq. It initiated serious measures for modernization, especially the adoption of the Bologna path in Iraqi universities and the decision to attract international students and the introduction of a set of practices to create tracks of scientific publication in global containers./ CONCLUSION h
