The British newspaper, The Independent, put Egypt on a list of 8 destinations that can be visited during the Easter holiday, which the West celebrates on April 17.
The newspaper said that although Easter is days away, it is still a good time to book a holiday during which you can enjoy the warm sunshine, beaches and monuments.
France topped the list of The Independent, saying that the Easter holiday is the last time in the ski season and can be enjoyed before the summer comes during this time. Cornwall in the United Kingdom came in second place, and the newspaper said it is a destination for those wishing to enjoy a quiet atmosphere and views of farmland.
The third place was occupied by the Greek island of Crete for those looking for fun beaches under the warm sun. In fourth place came Oxfordshire in the United Kingdom, then Portugal in fifth place. Barbados followed in Latin America in sixth place.
Egypt came in seventh place, and the newspaper said that it is possible to tour the prominent landmarks of Egypt, visit the pyramids and the Sphinx in Giza and the Egyptian Museum, before boarding the sleeper train all night long to Aswan to taste the Nubian culture, then board a river cruise to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings.
Finally, in the United Kingdom, Kent ranked eighth, and the newspaper said that the city is suitable for lovers of picturesque landscapes.
