Eight of the ten worst airports in the world are located in Europe

The German company AirHelp evaluated three main factors at each airport, namely punctuality, quality of service and presentation of restaurants and shops.

Adding these criteria, Lisbon Airport scored only 5.76 points, despite it getting 7.3 and 7.4 points for service or shop display. Competitor Skytrax ranked the airport three points out of ten, according to a server Business Insider, passengers often complain of long lines at passport control.

London Gatwick, Porto, Paris Orly and Manchester are among the ten worst airports. The only non-European airports in the lower centers are Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto, Canada, and Kuwait International Airport.

On the other hand, the best rated airports are Doha Hamad International Airport in Qatar, Tokyo Haneda International Airport, and Athens International Airport. The first two airports scored 8.39 points, while the other two airports scored 8.38 points. For example, Singapore’s Changi, which has won Skytrax awards several times, took seventh place, but got 9.2 points for service quality, the highest rating in the ranking.

In the assessment of the total of 132 world airports, Prague Vaclav Havel Airport, for example, is completely missing. However, there are some smaller airports, such as Porto or Bergen. Ranking is based on static data as well as opinion polls.
