Sharjah, 27 March / WAM / The “Fun” Foundation, which is concerned with promoting and supporting media art for children and young people in the UAE, will organize from 28 to 31 March a series of professional workshops for young people between the ages of 10 and 15 on the Japanese art of manga and its techniques. At “Adwar” theater in Al Zahia City Center in Sharjah.
The workshops, which come within the activities of the “Fantastic Spring Camp”, are held daily from 10 am to 2 pm and aim to develop the creative skills of the participants and teach them professional techniques in the art of designing world-famous comics and comics, using iPads and drawing tablets.
The training workshops address the most prominent methods used in manga drawings, such as the comic “chibi” style, which is based on drawing characters with small bodies, large eyes and childish features, which enables participating artists to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to create innovative artworks that reflect their personalities and artistic taste.
Participants will use the “Procreate” program for editing graphics for iPads within a set of practical activities to learn the secrets of this art, such as designing preliminary drawings to be used as approximate guides to produce a complete artwork using one of the ready-made drawings. The workshops will also provide participants with the opportunity to create artwork inspired by personalities Their favorite cartoons and original character designs.
