Emirates News Agency – Bayern Munich defeats Borussia Dortmund and regains the top spot in the Bundesliga

Berlin, April 1, WAM/ Bayern Munich regained the lead in the German Football League, by defeating its traditional rival, Borussia Dortmund, 4-2, today, Saturday, in the summit meeting between the two teams in the 26th round of the competition.
Bayern Munich practically confirmed that it is still able to defend the championship title, which it monopolized in the past ten seasons.
Bayern raised its score to 55 points to regain the top of the competition table, by two points against Dortmund, who suffered its first defeat in 11 matches in the competition since the resumption of the current season last January after the long hiatus due to the World Cup and the winter break.
Bayern won the match greatly in its first half, with 3 goals accidentally opened by Dortmund player Gregor Coppell in his team’s goal, and a double scored by Bayern star Thomas Mueller.
In the second half, Bayern increased their lead with a fourth goal, scored by Kingsley Coman, before Emre Chan (from a penalty kick) and Donyell Malin scored Dortmund’s goals.
With this victory, Bayern gave its new coach, Thomas Tuchel, a strong start to his career with the team, days after he was appointed to succeed coach Julian Nagelsmann.
